Visualization with Euler Diagrams

The Visual Modelling Group has been awarded a UK  EPSRC grant EP/E011160/1 in conjunction with the University of Kent (EP/E010393/1).

The project begins in January 2007 and will run for three years. The total funding is £564k.

Gem Stapleton's Leverhulme Project

Gem Stapleton has been awarded a prestigious Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship. The Fellowship started on September 1, 2005 and ran for two years. Details on Gem's project can be found here.

Reasoning with Diagrams

The Visual Modelling Group was awarded a UK  EPSRC grant GR/R63516/01 in conjunction with the University of Kent (GR/R63509/01). See the University of Kent's home page for the project.

The project began in July 2002 and ran for three years. The total funding is £360k. The project ended on August 31, 2005. Here is the final report.

The project was assessed as Outstanding.

EPSRC Travel Grant

EPSRC awarded us, together with Peter Rodgers (PI) at Kent, a travel grant to enable us to develop strong collaborative links with Frank Ruskey and Stirling Chow at the University of Victoria, Canada. The focus of this project is automatic generation of Euler diagrams. It ran from 10 September 2004 to 09 September 2005 and its value was £5,974 (based at the University of Kent).
